Peanut Butter and Jelly

Nothing says summertime like nostalgically biting into a PB&J. We collaborated with the awesome folks at Community Supported Grocery + Lowcountry Street Grocery and used their fresh, local strawberries to make a GORGEOUS strawberry jam. This jam gets swirled into our creamy peanut butter ice cream, which we create by adding all-natural peanut butter into our traditional ice cream base. To top it off, Maggie created a [crunchy + bready on the outside / soft + chewy on the inside] peanut butter cookie recipe for us. We fold generous chunks of this cookie into our pb ice cream with jam swirls!  This flavor is a fresh + stunning take on our favorite childhood snack. Peanut Butter & Jelly: NOW SCOOPING!

CSG / LSG currently source their strawberries from two to three local farms. As is natural, not all of the fresh strawberries get rated as #1 berries – meaning they are of a certain size and look visually appealing to meet the high standards of retail. Lowcountry reached out to us because they found themselves with some #2 berries left over (#2 meaning they might have a subtle defect or are too small) that they weren’t able to find a home for. We gladly bought these #2s and turned them into PB&J ice cream!
