Spiced Pumpkin Gooey Buttercake
We add 80 pounds of organic pumpkin straight into our ultra-creamy ice cream base (just milk, cream, & egg yolks) along with heaps of our aromatic pumpkin pie spice (including cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves & cardamom). To enhance our spiced pumpkin ice cream even further, we use brown sugar to sweeten which adds a hint of that robust molasses flavor throughout. Onto the mix-in! We make purely from scratch our very own Gooey Buttercake. Making this cake is a true labor of love, and our head baker, Pippa, says it took a whole year off of her life. But we say it’s worth it. We chop this addictively gooey and sweet cake up into bite sized pieces and fold it into our spiced pumpkin ice cream…perfection!
