Bourbon Derby Pie

Description:

{Derby Pie, more descriptively titled: Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie.} To start, we create a bourbon ice cream using South Carolina Six & Twenty 5-Grain Bourbon Whiskey. Aged for three years in new American Oak Barrels, this bourbon adds a sweet yet smokey spice to our ice cream base. Our baker, Pippa Allen, was tasked to create the pecan pie (spoiler, she nailed it). We fold chunks of this house made pecan pie made with local pecans from Brickyard Point Farms into our bourbon ice cream. This ‘deconstructed’ Derby Pie ice cream is finished off with a healthy swirl of house made fudge throughout the ice cream.
